First impression as you enter the cave : WOW, it’s incredible !!! What can one say about these artists of old (and the present day), is it perhaps their capacity to bring art alive? Time seems to have stopped. And yet, there is movement everywhere one looks. One leaves the cave in a state of peaceful ease but brimming over with curiosity about the lives of our ancestors.

Lascaux II
Since the hillside has been turned into a ‘sanctuary’, I am delighted to welcome the public to a conservation site in the heart of the Lascaux woods, very close to the original cave. The torchlit visits where the disovery can really be relived by the visitors are great – and the best thing is that the public just love it and don’t hesitate to tell me so!
